Terms of service

These terms apply when you use marathonmapart.com or buy from Marathon Map Art ("we", "us"). By placing an order, you agree to them.

Orders

When you check out, you're making an offer to buy. We accept it when we start your design. If we can't make your poster, for example because we can't find the course or results, we'll let you know and refund you in full.

Personalization and proofs

Every poster is designed by hand from the details you give us. Please check the runner's name, race, year, bib and time carefully. If you ask us to find the bib or time, we'll use the race's published results. Before printing, we email you a proof. Your poster is printed exactly as shown in the proof you approve, so please look it over closely.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include shipping to the countries we deliver to. Any taxes or import duties are shown at checkout or charged by your country on delivery. Payment is taken when you order. We may correct pricing errors, and if one affects your order we'll contact you before it goes ahead.

Shipping and refunds

Shipping is covered on our shipping page and refunds on our returns & refunds page. For anything about an order, contact us directly at orders@marathonmapart.com. We handle every question ourselves.

Colors and materials

Screens show color differently, so a printed poster may look slightly different from what you see online. Course maps are artistic renderings based on published routes and aren't meant for navigation.

Race names and trademarks

Marathon Map Art is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any race, race organizer or sponsor. Race names, logos and marks belong to their owners and are used to identify the event a poster commemorates.

Our designs

The poster designs, layouts, map styling, photos and other content on this site belong to Marathon Map Art. Your poster, or a digital file we send you, is for your personal use. You may print it, frame it, share photos of it and give it as a gift, but you may not resell it or reproduce it commercially.

Using the site

Please don't misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, get around its security or submit content you don't have the right to use. You're responsible for the details you send us, including any note or name you ask us to print.

Disclaimers and limits

Apart from what's promised on our shipping and returns pages, the site and products are provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, except where the consumer laws of your country of residence apply.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you placed your order applies to that order.
