Marathon Map Art ("we", "us") makes custom race posters. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit marathonmapart.com or place an order, how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to make and deliver your poster.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, shipping address and phone number if you give one, plus what you ordered.
• Personalization: the runner's name, race, year, bib number, finish time and any note you add. If you ask us to, we look up the bib and time in the race's public results.
• Payment: payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, such as proof approvals or questions.
• Usage data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address and how you arrived at the site. We collect this with analytics tools to understand how the shop is used and to improve it.

How we use it

• To design your poster, send you a proof, print it and ship it.
• To send order confirmations, proofs, shipping updates and replies to your questions.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To understand which pages and products work, and to improve the shop.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't add you to a marketing list unless you ask to join one.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs: payment processing, printing and fulfillment, shipping carriers, email delivery, website hosting and analytics. They may use it only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep checkout working and to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The shop still works without analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep order records, including your personalization details, for as long as we need them to support reorders, handle questions and meet tax and accounting rules. We delete or anonymize information when it's no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to receive a copy of it. Depending on where you live, including California, the UK and the EU, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email orders@marathonmapart.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

If you're in the UK or EU, we process your information to perform our contract with you (making and shipping your order), for our legitimate interests in running and improving the shop, and to meet legal obligations. Our service providers may process it outside your country, with appropriate safeguards in place.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

The shop is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. A parent or guardian may order a poster for a young runner, and we use that information only to make the order.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Big changes will be highlighted on the site.
