Triathlon Texas
Swim Lake Woodlands, ride the Hardy Toll Road, finish at Waterway Square.
About the race
The full-distance triathlon in The Woodlands, north of Houston, starts with a one-lap, 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands, from North Shore Park to the canal at Town Green Park. The 112-mile bike leaves on Lake Robbins Drive and Grogans Mill Road, reaches the Hardy Toll Road and makes two loops through northern Harris County before coming back to The Woodlands. The marathon is three loops along Lake Woodlands Drive and Woodlands Parkway and toward The Woodlands Mall, with the last stretch beside The Waterway and a finish at Waterway Square.
The first race was scheduled for May 2011, and in recent years it has been held in April, with the 2026 edition on April 18 as a North American Championship. About 3,000 athletes from 49 states and 73 countries were expected that year. The Lake Woodlands Parkway Bridge and the banks of The Waterway are where spectators gather for the swim, and the marathon stays open until midnight.
Our poster draws all three legs on one map of The Woodlands and northern Harris County, with the swim and run pulled out into their own zoomed panels. It comes in four designs: White & Red has a red route on a light map, Red Panel and Black Panel stack the distances in a bold side column, and Red Map sets a white route on a deep red map. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with the athlete's name and finish time added.
