About the race

The United Airlines NYC Half starts near Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Runners cross the East River on the Brooklyn Bridge, run north along the FDR Drive, turn west across 42nd Street and go up Seventh Avenue through Times Square before entering Central Park. The finish is inside the park, and runners exit near West 77th Street.

New York Road Runners held the first NYC Half on August 27, 2006, and the course has moved several times since. Since 2018 it has run from Prospect Park to Central Park. In 2025 the Brooklyn Bridge replaced the Manhattan Bridge because of construction on the Manhattan side. The race is run in March, with an official course time limit of three hours.

The poster traces the route in orange on a black street map of New York, with the Hudson and East Rivers in navy, the start and finish marked and the race date set at the top left. A line along the bottom names Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square and Central Park. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name, bib number and finish time added.
