About the race
The Two Cities Marathon starts and finishes at Clovis Community College, on the line between Fresno and Clovis. The course heads south to Shepherd Avenue and west through the streets of North Fresno to Woodward Park, then turns back east and runs southeast into Old Town Clovis before the long way home to the college.
Runners know it as a flat, fast course, and the race bills it as a good place to chase a Boston qualifier or run a first 26.2. It has been a fall fixture in the Central Valley since 2008 and is run in early November, when the trees along the course are turning. Reviewers often mention the local volunteers and high school bands along the way, and finishers get a hot breakfast at the finish festival.
