About the race

The Seoul Marathon, also called the Seoul International Marathon, is a point-to-point race that starts at Gwanghwamun Plaza in the city center and finishes at the Jamsil Sports Complex. The route runs down Sejong-daero and along Eulji-ro and Jongno, passes Cheonggyecheon park and Dongdaemun, then follows Wangsimni-ro and Ttukseom-ro before crossing the Han River to Jamsil.

The race traces back to 1931, when it was a shorter event of about 23 kilometers, and it became a full marathon in 1964. The newspaper Dong-A Ilbo has hosted it, and it is run in mid-March. Today it holds World Athletics Platinum Label status, and it finishes in the Olympic stadium area at Jamsil.

The poster traces the route in orange on a black street map of Seoul, with the Han River in deep blue running through the middle, the date stacked down the right and the start and finish marked. It is an 18x24 portrait. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name and finish time added at the bottom right.
