About the race

The Phoenix Marathon started in 2025 at Deer Valley Towne Center near 31st Avenue in north Phoenix. The course ran on city streets, then joined the Arizona Canal Trail for nearly nine miles. It continued toward Camelback Road and the Biltmore area and passed through Papago Park in the final miles before the finish at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

The first race was run on December 13, 2025, and the 2026 race is set for December 12. The official site says the course shows runners the Valley of the Sun, with sweeping desert views, and a finish near Papago Park. The 2026 course page describes a different route, starting at South Mountain Park and finishing at Steele Indian School Park.

The poster traces the 2025 course on a street map of the Valley, with the start in the north and the finish at the southeast, and the race date set vertically at the top right. It comes in Teal & Orange, an orange route on a deep teal map. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name, bib number and finish time added.
