About the race

The Marathon Beneva de Montréal starts at Espace 67 on Île Sainte-Hélène. Since 2022 the course has used a cross-shaped layout meant to reduce enclaves and limit street closures. From the start the route crosses the Pont de la Concorde and follows Notre-Dame Street, then continues to Parc Lafontaine, Boulevard Saint-Joseph and Boulevard Saint-Laurent. Parc Jarry has an encouragement station at the 19.76 km mark, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Montreal Olympics.

The 2026 race was the 34th edition and is billed by the city as the largest running event in Quebec, with about 35,000 participants expected from 57 countries across the weekend's races. The marathon and half marathon are held on the Sunday, with the shorter races on the Friday and Saturday.

The poster draws the marathon on a black street map of the island, with the Saint Lawrence in navy and the route in orange, and the race date running down the right edge. It comes in two layouts, a Portrait with the current Beneva title and a Landscape. Each is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name, finish time and bib number added under the title.
