Miami Marathon
Over the MacArthur Causeway to South Beach and back through Brickell to Bayfront Park.
About the race
The Miami Marathon is a single-loop course that starts on Biscayne Boulevard near the Miami-Dade Arena. Runners head east over the MacArthur Causeway past the Port of Miami to South Beach, run north along the Atlantic side of Miami Beach and return to the mainland over the Venetian Causeway. The full marathon then continues south through Brickell and Coconut Grove, out the Rickenbacker Causeway toward Key Biscayne and back through Brickell to the finish at Bayfront Park, alongside the water.
The current race began in 2003. Its predecessor, the Orange Bowl Marathon, was first held on December 26, 1977. The race is usually run on the last Sunday in January or the first Sunday in February, on a flat, USATF-certified Boston qualifying course.
The poster traces the route on a street map of Miami and Miami Beach, with Biscayne Bay in navy and the race date set at the top left. A line at the bottom names South Beach, Mid Beach, Brickell, Wynwood and Coconut Grove. It comes in two styles, Multicolor and Orange & Black. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name, bib number and finish time added.
