London Marathon
Greenwich to The Mall by way of Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf and the Embankment.
About the race
The London Marathon is point to point, from Greenwich and Blackheath to The Mall. Three start lines meet just before Mile 3 in Woolwich, then runners head west through Charlton, Greenwich and Deptford, loop the Cutty Sark around Miles 6 and 7, and go through Rotherhithe and Bermondsey to cross Tower Bridge at halfway.
After Mile 13 the course turns east along The Highway to Westferry and loops through Mudchute, the Docklands and Canary Wharf. Just past Mile 21 it passes Rainbow Row in Limehouse, then runs back west past Tower Hill and along the Victoria Embankment to Parliament Square and Westminster Bridge. Runners turn at Buckingham Palace to finish on The Mall. Crowds are large at the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and on the final stretch.
The poster shows the course on a dark street map of east and central London, with the Thames in navy winding through the Isle of Dogs and the route in orange, a start dot at Greenwich and a finish dot in the west. The date runs down the right edge, and a London Marathon logo mark sits in the lower right. It comes in one colorway, Orange & Black, in landscape. It is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name and finish time added.
