About the race
The first Every Woman's Marathon was run in Savannah, Georgia, on November 16, 2024. It started in front of City Hall on East Bay Street, wound through the Historic District past landmarks including Trustees' Garden, Taylor Square and Forsyth Park, and finished at the YMCA of Coastal Georgia on East Broad Street. The course was flat and fast, with about 304 feet of total climbing.
The race is built around a "for women, by women" idea and is sponsored by Team Milk. Its Savannah debut came after the city ended its agreement with the Rock 'n' Roll series, and the organizers committed to donate to local nonprofits. Later editions have moved to other cities, so the Savannah race is a one-time course, which makes it a good one to keep.
