DC Half Marathon
Rock Creek Parkway, the Tidal Basin and a lap of East Potomac Park out to Hains Point.
About the race
The DC Half Marathon is a September race organized by Pacers Running, and it ties together some of Washington's riverside parks. The course runs along Rock Creek Parkway, around the Tidal Basin and out through East Potomac Park to the tip at Hains Point. Road closures for the 2025 race ran from Rock Creek Parkway at Ohio Drive through East and West Potomac Parks, and the relay course reached as far north as Massachusetts Avenue.
The 2025 race was held on Sunday, September 14, with a 7 a.m. start. Much of the route follows the Potomac and Rock Creek, so the views are mostly of the water, the monuments and the trees along the parkway.
Our poster draws the route as a thin red line on a soft gray street map of the District, with the Potomac and the Anacostia in lighter gray. The race date runs down the top right, and the title, distance and "Race the District" tagline sit at the bottom left. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with the runner's name, finish time and bib number added in the last line.
