BOLDERBoulder 10K
A Memorial Day 10K through Boulder, finishing inside CU's Folsom Field.
About the race
The BOLDERBoulder 10K starts at 30th and Walnut in Boulder and finishes inside the University of Colorado's Folsom Field. Runners go out in waves, grouped from fastest to slowest, and cross the city's neighborhoods before turning into the stadium. A Pro Rim Race opens the day, and the elite runners enter the stadium after the citizens' race so finishers can watch them come in.
The race is run on Memorial Day. It began in 1979 at North Boulder Park, moved to Boulder High School the next year and has finished at Folsom Field since 1981. A Memorial Day Tribute, established in 1983, honors those who serve, and Medal of Honor recipients have been recognized since 2002. In 2004 it became the largest timed 10K in the world, and in 2018 it celebrated its 40th year.
The poster traces the route in red on a light gray street map of Boulder, with the start and finish dots marked, 10KM above the title and BOLDER BOULDER 10K in black type. It is an 11x14 print. Each poster is designed by hand after you order, with a short message of your choice at the bottom left and the city name at the bottom right.
